Foam pack application
Нет услуг
The assembly foam pack is an item included into the joint sealing kit for PUF pipes. It includes liquid components of polyurethane foam (polyol and isocyanate) in the correct ratio. It helps avoid dosing errors when mixing the components in a construction site environment and makes the assembly process easier.
Instructions
Follow these 8 simple steps to pour the foam pack content into the space between the sleeve and the steel pipe. You have one minute max to complete all the operations before the components begin to harden.
Before assembly, condition the foam packs at the temperature of 20 +/- 1 °С for at least 12 hours. If the temperature is higher, foam formation will start before you complete the handling of the pack. If it is lower, the resulting foam will be insufficient to thoroughly fill the joint space.
Working conditions
- The work can be performed only by persons of 18 years or older, who have cleared a medical examination and induction training.
- During assembly work wear protective clothes and protective equipment — rubber gloves, safety goggles, respirator.
- If the work is performed indoors, adequate ventilation must be ensured.
- In the working area where the foam pack is used, the chemicals to neutralize PUF components must be available: 5-10% ammonia solution, 5% hydrochloric acid solution.
- You must have a medical kit with the necessary medical supplies: 5% boric acid solution, 2% baking soda solution, iodine, bandage, cotton wool, rubber band.
Storage and disposal
Foam packs should be stored at the temperature of +5 °С to +25 °С in a dry ventilated area. Protect from exposure to direct sunlight. Protect the packs from mechanical damage.
Shelf life from the date of manufacture is 6 months..
Used foam packs and foam material waste can be disposed of at general dump sites if agreed with the local State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Department of Russia. The foam material obtained by mixing the components is not toxic.
